Math Counts

Every year Messiah Lutheran School sends the top 6th 7th and 8th grade math students to the Western Colorado math counts competition. Messiah annually places in the top 10 schools.

Choir

Music is a key component to our school. From preschool to 8th grade the children learn the fundamentals of choir. From school concerts to Sunday services the children’s voices rise up in song.

Art Appreciation

Art is very important at Messiah Lutheran School. The children learn the many ways in which they can express themselves through art. Clear some room on your refrigerator and walls because the children will be bringing home their creations regularly.

Handbell Choir

Team work, coordination and music reading come together when the children participate in this musical endeavor.

Music Appreciation

Our faculty are gifted in many areas of music and as the children journey through the school they learn the history and application of music in the world.

Volleyball

In the fall our co-ed Volleyball teams compete across the Western Slope of Colorado

Track

Every spring schools from all over Colorado converge on Grand Junction to compete in the annual Messiah Lutheran School track meet. All students from first grade through eighth grade are eligible to compete at Messiah Lutheran School.

Basketball

5th grade through 8th grade boys and girls compete every winter against local and regional schools in basketball at Messiah Lutheran School.
